Over the last 30 or so years , every time the Senate Minority Leader has appeared on Off The Record, he or she has waxed on about how the Democrats will take control of the upper chamber. They, of course, knew a lot of that was hype, but what else could they say?

Republican Secretary of State candidate Kristina Karamo is turning down separate invitations to have sit-down interviews with the editorial boards of The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press because neither outlet is "honest about their bias" and there is "zero chance of a fact-based interview."
