The polls are projecting another razor-thin presidential election on Nov. 5, but if the margin of victory is under 1 percentage point, it would mark only the fourth time in Michigan’s history that the results were that close.
At the end of a presidential election cycle, most Americans are inundated by claims from both the Republican and Democrat nominees that they and their party are the best friends of pocketbook conscious voters.
