Republican Tudor Dixon said she doesn't believe abortion is the top issue of the 2022 gubernatorial campaign and said it's time the media stop reporting on it like it is.
With back-to-back 4-0 votes, the Board of State Canvassers approved the constitutional initiatives for abortion and voting reform Friday to appear on the Nov. 8 ballot after a decision from the Michigan Supreme Court.

Rep. Jack O’Malley (R-Lake Ann), running in the competitive 103rd House District, lost the endorsement of Right to Life in the General Election over his evolved stance on supporting abortions in cases of adverse prenatal diagnoses.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's lead is growing, fueled by the abortion issue and cemented (for the moment) by female voters.
Proposals to enshrine abortion into the state Constitution and on expanding voting rights will be on the November ballot, the Michigan Supreme Court ruled Thursday.
