Every high school in Michigan would need to take a “byte” out of the computer science “pi” by offering at least one computer science course under legislation computed by Rep. Carol Glanville (D-Grand Rapids).
Senate Passes Mandatory Kindergarten For 5 Year-Olds, 21-15

Children must be enrolled in kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year if they are at least 5 years old on Sept. 1, 2025, under legislation approved in the Senate Tuesday, 21-15.
If a child is at least five years old, their parents or legal guardians would be required to send them to kindergarten under legislation being spearheaded by Senate Education Chair Dayna Polehanki (D-Livonia).
Byrum Not Seeking Reelection To MSU Board; Bahar-Cook Seeks Post

Michigan State University (MSU) Trustee Dianne Byrum confirmed today she will not seek a third term on the MSU Board, of which she was chair for a stint. Her term ends at the end of the year.
