Three men and their family members cried as the jury foreperson announced Friday that each defendant was not guilty of providing material support to a terrorist act in connection with the plot to kidnap and kill Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

A déjà vu feeling permeated the trial Wednesday of three men accused of providing support to the 2020 plot to kidnap the Governor as one defense attorney spent the morning criticizing the prosecution.

"We are at war now … I don't see how things will ever get better without bloodshed. No matter who wins this election, they won't go by the constitution. We will still be forced to comply or the pigs will kill us."

A Court of Claims judge ruled Wednesday that the Attorney General’s office cannot withhold from public release documents and exhibits used in court against those accused of supporting the plot to kidnap the Governor.
