(Source: MIRS.news, Published 05/25/2022) A 93% majority of Michigan voters have an unfavorable impression of Michigan’s roads and 65% of voters give them a poor rating, according to an EPIC-MRA poll of 600 voters taken May 11-17.

Bureau of Elections staff are now putting together recommendations to the Attorney General on potential criminal charges against the three dozen circulators who appear to have forged names of the dead and unknown living voters onto candidates’ petitions.

The Bureau of Elections (BoE) flagged today an unprecedented 36 petition circulators responsible for at least 68,000 estimated invalid signatures, finding sheets that unnaturally lacked basic wear-and-tear and some with the same two or three handwriting styles reappearing.

As of today, 23 state-level legislative and judicial candidates have been disqualified from the August 2022 candidate list by the Secretary of State, more than any other cycle in at least 24 years.
