(Source: MIRS.news, Published 07/25/2025) Among legislators' four caucus political action committees (PACs), the Senate Republican Campaign Committee (SRCC) has the most cash on hand for mid-2025 with $4.98 million.

Friday was the filing deadline for April 21 through July 20, when the caucus PACs can begin building their campaign infrastructure ahead of the 2026 elections. Next year, both the Senate and the House in Lansing will be up for grabs.

Behind Senate Republicans in cash on hand was the Michigan Senate Democratic Fund with $4.15 million after raising $404,638 in this period. The House Republican Campaign Committee had $2.29 million in cash on hand after raising $1.044 million during the period.

Shooing moths out of their wallet was the Michigan House Democratic Fund, which raised $421,782 during the period and spent $134,480.

Senate Republicans raised $422,845 during the period and spent $109,346.

"Senate Democrats continue to show what happens when they're in charge of government, so it's no surprise that they're underperforming in their fundraising too," said Sen. Roger HAUCK (R-Union Twp.), the SRCC's co-chair. "The Senate Republicans are more prepared than ever to take back the majority in 2026 and finally get our state back on track."

Meanwhile, Senate Democrats highlighted how 71 percent of donations their account received in the July quarter came from donations of less than $100.

"Our caucus is building new relationships across the state and making clear what we stand for: delivering real solutions for Michigan. The message we're hearing everywhere is the same: people are done with Republican obstruction and chaos both on the state and federal level. They want leaders who listen, lead, and solve problems," said Sen. Darrin Camilleri (D-Trenton), Senate Democrats' campaign chair. "Momentum is on our side, and we're ready to win in 2026."
