(Source: MIRS.news, Published 03/03/2026) The popular “I Voted” sticker contest will return for the November election. The Department of State opened entries from Michiganders and students enrolled in Michigan schools.
One design can be submitted for one category, which includes elementary and middle school, kindergartners to eighth grade, high school freshmen to seniors, and Michiganders of any age. The entries must be submitted to the state website by 5 p.m. on May 1.

"This year, we look forward to seeing the creative ways Michiganders of all ages celebrate democracy. Submit your entry to help us continue the tradition and get voters excited to cast their ballot this fall,” said Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.
The designs must be non-partisan and contain the phrase “I Voted.” The artwork must be original. AI-generation is not allowed. The artwork cannot be copyrighted or trademarked.
The vote for the finalists will take place in June and the winners will be announced later in the summer. The winning designs will be available for local clerks to give to voters in November.
The 2024 contest had 480 submissions. The 25 semifinalists saw 57,700 votes cast across the three categories. Each category had three winners.
