(Source: MIRS.news, Published 03/24/2026) Organizers for this weekend's "No Kings" rallies are anticipating the largest showing yet, with protests in around 115 different locations across the state.

During a press call Tuesday morning, community organizer Sherri Masson said with the United States entering an "illegal war" and the shooting deaths of two civilians by immigration enforcement officers in Minneapolis, she's seeing higher attendance at monthly meetings and stronger buzz leading into these No Kings rallies than the two prior.

“Instead of making people afraid and cower, it's done the opposite,” Masson said, "We've seen most of our groups grow."

No Kings is a loose coalition of progressive groups united against President Donald Trump's “unjust and cruel acts of violence” and an arguably growing influence of “greedy billionaires” upon the working class.

Tuesday's call brought together various groups, including the Voting Access for All Coalition, Indivisible leaders, Michiganders for Money Out of Politics, immigrant rights advocates, the Michigan Freedom Coalition, the Anti-Fascist Organizing Coalition, Of/By/For, The Removal Coalition, 14th Now!, as well as the Public Research Initiative.

Nationwide, thousands of rallies are planned, with 24 additional events taking place in Europe. A rally is planned for Novi, the same city as the Michigan Republican Party (MRP) endorsement convention. Although organizers said their planned meet-up spot is scheduled to be all four corners of the intersection of Novi Road & Grand River Avenue, not the Suburban Collection Showcase, where the GOP is meeting.

The first No Kings Rally took place on June 14 last year, which drew several thousand demonstrators to the state Capitol. The second was Oct. 18 last year and drew a similar-sized crowd.
