(Source: MIRS.news, Published 07/10/2026) If you have a teenager, and you're headed Up North this weekend, here's a topic for the in-car ride going up.
Better yet, save it for when you are around the campfire.

The issue is the use of social media for children younger than 16.
A new nationwide survey found 67% of adult voters would ban social media access completely for those young teens. Only 25% would oppose it and about 8% have no opinion.
The Quinnipiac pollsters found Republicans more in favor of the restriction, with 69% saying yes and 23% no. Meanwhile, 63% of the Democrats concurred with the restriction and 30% voting no. The Independents? 68%-25%.
There is no gender gap on this one. Women are slightly more in favor 69%-22% and it's 66%-28% for the fathers.
The poll was taken nationwide June 18-22 with a plus or minus error rate of 3.4%.
Given the angst this might produce in some families, apparently no one in the state legislature is willing to pop this one in the hopper even though 16-year-olds can't vote.
Who knows? They might remember that in two years later when they can.
