Whitmer PAC Spreads Funds In U.S. Senate, House Races

(Source: MIRS.news, Published 09/05/2024) The Gov. Gretchen Whitmer Fight Like Hell political action committee endorsed in five more congressional races Wednesday, raising the number of seats she's playing in to 11 U.S. Senate and 23 U.S. House races, each with one candidate from Michigan.

 

Whitmer said the candidates she endorsed have “incredible records” and would “fight tooth and nail” for their communities. Fight Like Hell endorsed Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Holly) for Senate and Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-Grand Rapids) for the House. Whitmer said the PAC has raised $1.8 million for races in Michigan.

 

The Michigan governor’s PAC raised more than $5.1 million across the United States to help Vice President Kamala Harris and down-ballot races across the nation.

 

“We need leaders who want to deliver real results for the American people,” Whitmer said.

 

Overall, the Whitmer PAC endorsed Senate candidates from Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Texas, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Montana.

 

In U.S. House races outside of Michigan, Fight Like Hell has endorsed: Three races in Illinois, two races in Iowa, two in Wisconsin, two in Ohio, two in Pennsylvania, One each in Kansas, Arizona, New York, Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Minnesota, and Connecticut.

 

“I’m going to do everything I can to ensure these proven leaders get elected in November and help us hold our Senate Democratic majority,” Whitmer said.
