(Source: MIRS.news, Published 08/22/22) Former presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg may be calling Michigan home now and could be a potential candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2024, but U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D) said on a recent radio program that she's not planning on giving up the seat in two years.
Stabenow, 72, said on Michigan's Big Show late last week that her intention is to run "full steam ahead" for a fifth term to the U.S. Senate.
"I welcome Pete and Chasten and their two beautiful children. They have beautiful twins. I know Chasten has Mom and Dad in Traverse City to help both of them with the kids. We're glad to have them in Michigan. I think this was showing the wisdom he has to move from Indiana to Michigan. Who wouldn't want to be in Michigan?"
Stabenow continued the interview by talking about her efforts to reduce the price of prescription drugs. She told host Michael Patrick Shiels it's time to stop having to force people to choose between paying their groceries or buying their medicine.
