(Source: MIRS.news, Publsihed 11/17/2022) Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has consistently pushed back against the President 2024 question by saying her focus is on being the governor of Michigan. But during a recent CNN interview she let slip something new.

Whether or not it was a Freudian slip, Whitmer said in response to the latest 2024 question, "I love the state of Michigan. I'm so grateful to be the governor of the state of Michigan. I've got a big task ahead of me and that's where I'm going to put 100% of my focus for now."

After she completed her answer, the anchors caught the "for now" addition to her answer.

"I know, people are going to parse that. I'm staying right where I'm at."

With President Joe BIDEN, 79, showing his age at times during his bumpy first term raises questions about whether he'll push forward with a re-election campaign. Whitmer has been mentioned in numerous news outlets as a potential contender for the Democratic nomination in 2024.
