Republican delegates would be charged with picking the party's nominee for every position with the exception of precinct delegates and president under the 12th Right in the MRP's proposed Bill of Rights.

The 39-page constitution also expands the MRP State Committee from 107 members to well over 200, with all 83 counties having at least two voting members, giving a significant amount of influence to northern and rural communities.

The "delegate friendly" constitution pledges to decentralizes the leadership of the MRP. For supporters of the document, the constitution creates a more functional party by creating a structure that is difficult to amend and prevents chairs from being overly powerful.

Seventeen members of the Karamo faction, including former Rep. Daire Rendon, Budget Committee Chair Dan Bonamie, MRP Executive Director Jim Copas and MRP Deputy Chief of Staff Joel Studebaker, were the 17 on the Constitutional Review Committee.

"Rights for the delegates, which equals power for the delegates, which equals a grassroots-based constitution," reads an analysis of the proposed constitution sent to Karamo and General Counsel Dan Hartman.
