(Source: MIRS.news, Published 08/11/2023) Attorney Matthew DePERNO was “frequently” inside Oakland County hotel rooms where tests on tabulators occurred after the 2020 presidential election, The Detroit News reported Friday.
The paper, citing a Thursday court filing, said DePerno also was present when a video was made inside a Royal Oak condominium where a cybersecurity expert ran tests on an illegally obtained tabulator from Missaukee County.
The Thursday brief was filed in the state’s case against attorney Stefanie Lambert Junttila, who has asked the court to move her criminal case from Oakland County to Antrim County, according to court records.
The filing alleges that DePerno, Lambert and former state Rep. Daire RENDON “began coordinating their plan to obtain and examine voting machines” in January 2021 and February 2021.
The trio is charged with undue possession of a voting machine and other charges related to their alleged role in tampering with tabulators following the 2020 presidential election.
According to the filing, a private investigator working with the trio obtained a tabulator in March 2021 for Lake Township in Missaukee County – at the request of Rendon. They also received tabulators from Roscommon and Barry counties.
“The internal content of the machines was accessed, and the computer system itself was manipulated during these experiments,” the newspaper quoted.
DePerno said in an August 2022 interview on Michigan’s Big Show that he had “nothing to do with any hotel rooms or Airbnbs.” After the charges were announced, he has said he “looks forward to the date when his innocence will be demonstrated in a court of law.”
