Michigan's beer distributors collect around 38% of beverage containers for the state's bottle deposit law, earning them $8 million in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget

The city of Traverse City is investigating a hair salon for potential ordinance violation after its owner posted to Facebook that transgender customers were not welcome and should instead use a “pet groomer.”
